Time to welcome new teachers to Lamar CISD

Plans are underway for the 47th edition of the “New Teacher Roundup” party, welcoming teachers and administrators to Lamar CISD. This year, the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance joins with the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation and host Safari Texas Ranch in the dinner.

“Our goal for this party is to make the teachers feel welcome and a part of our community from the moment they begin their educational career with Lamar,” states Janice Knight, L.E.A.F. Executive Director. “The New Teacher Roundup provides them with a true Texas welcome.”

This is an exciting opportunity for LCISD supporters to meet our new teachers, and for our new staff members to meet other new teachers in the District, school board members, administrators and community leaders. The welcome party will be Thursday, August 22, at the Safari Texas Ranch, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Sponsorships and tickets are available. Levels of sponsorship are $200 and $250 with individual tickets at $25 each. Contact Janice Knight at 832-223-0334, jknight@lcisd.org or www.leafgrants.org for information.

Dress comfortably and join us for a delicious fajita dinner, meet new teachers and let them meet the community that will support them throughout their entire teaching career with LCISD.
