Austin Angels honors new members on induction day
On Saturday, August 10, the award winning Austin Angels celebrated the induction of new members in ceremonies held at Stephen F. Austin High School. The rookie class this year is made up of 20 young ladies from Austin High School. The Austin Angels are the dance team at Stephen F. Austin High School. To become a part of this team is a privilege. Few people get the wonderful opportunity to experience the support of teammates and friends in the crucible of the competitive arena.
The Angels realize everything they do and think affects the people in their lives, and their reactions in turn affect others. Therefore, they have also believed in community service. The Austin Angels work in conjunction with AHS DECA, Travis Belles Dance Team, and the Austin Bulldog Band to sponsor the Tracie Lynn Hester Life Donor Scholarship Walk (scheduled for November 9, 2013) and provide an Angel Junior Clinic in the spring for younger girls to learn about dance and what it means to be part of a team.
If you would like to support the Angels, plan on attending “ANGELS in Bloom” – the Homecoming dinner and silent auction-Friday, October 18, 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Austin High School – 3434 Pheasant Creek Drive, Sugar Land. The general public is invited and attending the auction is free as well as the admission to the other homecoming festivities such as the pep rally. You must purchase a dinner ticket in advance.
