Armstrong Elementary School is recipient of Eagle Project

Michael Wang of Troop 1631 presents his Eagle project to Lori Craig, principal at Armstrong Elementary School.

Michael Wang of Boy Scout Troop 1631 of Sugar Land donated three bookshelves to Armstrong Elementary School for students and staff to enjoy. He led a team of six scouts and three adults in completing the shelves this summer as part of his Eagle project. The project took a total of seven hours to complete.

Wang, a senior at Clements High School, chose Armstrong Elementary as the recipient of the Eagle project because he felt the school could truly benefit from the gift. He had established a contact with Armstrong’s principal, Lori Craig, while participating in a wellness grant project for the school’s Extended Day Program. He presented the shelves to Craig on July 25, just in time for the new school year.
