The Fort Bend Teen Service League (FBTSL), a mentoring project of the Fort Bend Junior Service League, is welcoming teens across Fort Bend County to join the FBTSL. Membership is open to girls in grades 9-12. The final informational meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 2245 Texas Drive, Suite 300, across from Guru Burgers & Crepes in Sugar Land Town Square.

This year a new Teen League board position, Director of Fundraising, was created to specifically focus on increasing the fundraising efforts of the FBTSL in order to maximize the Teen League’s capacity for charitable donations.  In addition, new committee positions were developed to support the FBTSL Board. Those roles include a Photographer, to capture the teens in the grace and beauty of volunteerism and a Big Sister initiative, which allows two returning teens to mentor members new to the FBTSL.

For more information, interested teens and parents should visit www.fbjsl.com and click on “Teen League” or email us at info@fbtsl.com. Applications for the 2013-2014 year must be submitted prior to the first FBTSL General meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce.
