University Branch Library’s “Books-To-Film Redux” on September 23

The University Branch Library’s “Books-to-Film Redux” night will take place on Monday, September 23, beginning at 6:00 pm, in the Large Meeting Room of the library, located at 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land, on the UH campus.

The movie to be featured is a romantic comedy inspired by Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. Bianca is a pretty and popular teenager whose parents will not let her start dating until her older, odious sister, Kat, has a date of her own. In desperation, Bianca schemes to match Kat with her male equivalent – a guy whose reputation is so infamous that Kat might rise to the challenge and find him interesting. This film is rated PG-13.

The “Books-to-Film Redux” night is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-633-5100 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
