Get your voter ID before the elections

No ID for election day? Many DPS offices statewide (11 in the Houston area) will be open on Saturdays to issue election ID certificates. The extended hours will only be for those who need an ID to vote on November 5.

Election judges will accept driver’s licenses, U.S. passports, concealed handgun licenses, military IDs, or naturalization certificates with photos.

If you do not have one of these forms of ID, you can apply for a FREE election ID at the DPS during regular weekday hours or on Saturdays through November 2.
