The Exchange Club of Fort Bend presents A.C.E. award to Caroline Wolf

Representative Rick Miller acknowledges Caroline Wolf as the 2013 A.C.E. Award winner.

The Exchange Club of Fort Bend is proud to recognize Caroline Wolf, a resident of Fulshear, as its 2013 A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award winner. Caroline was selected from a group of young men and women who have overcome extreme obstacles sometime during their high school years, and are eligible to graduate from high school in Fort Bend County.

In accepting the Challenge of Excellence, Caroline had to overcome many obstacles while growing up. In 2010, after enduring several years of abuse and neglect at the hands of her immediate and extended family in Georgia, Caroline made the tough decision to move to Texas to live with her aunt and uncle, a decision that would change the course of her life. Despite the obstacles, challenges and continuing struggles, Caroline was able to stay focused and graduate this past Spring from Foster High School with the support of her aunt and uncle. Caroline has decided to pursue a college education in a field where she can have a positive influence on children for years to come.

After winning the A.C.E. award at the club level, Caroline’s nomination moved up to the District level where her nomination was evaluated along with those of approximately a dozen other nominees. Caroline won the A.C.E. Award at the District Level, and she accepted the award at the Exchange Club’s Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast banquet held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Caroline was later presented a proclamation from Representative Rick Miller acknowledging her accomplishments and encouraging her to pursue her dreams.

The Exchange Club’s A.C.E. program provides encouragement to students to overcome their hardships and get back on track toward a high school diploma. It also recognizes those students who are often overlooked for their accomplishments. This special recognition serves as a powerful example to all students that hard work and perseverance really do pay.

Members of The Exchange Club of Fort Bend sponsor a variety of activities throughout the year to improve the Fort Bend community in the areas of Youth, Community Service, Americanism and Child Abuse Prevention. The Exchange Club of Fort Bend meets weekly on Wednesdays at 11:45 am at Sweetwater Country Club.
