Recently, County Judge Bob Hebert updated the Pecan Grove Women’s Group on the status of the Fort Bend County Courthouse restoration.

During the presentation Judge Hebert described efforts made by the county to preserve as many original details as possible, including the 1 inch hand laid tile squares that decorate the floors of the original portion of the building.

The Fort Bend County Courthouse restoration is scheduled to be complete in early December and will be the permanent location for Commissioners Court as well as house the offices of the County Judge and the County Attorney.

Judge Hebert said, “I am pleased the restoration of this historic landmark is moving at a rapid pace. Hopefully, we can decorate the Christmas Tree in the rotunda this year as we’ve done for so many years in the past.”
