The 4th Annual Fulshear
Scarecrow Festival, with its collection of creative, full-size scarecrows, kid-friendly games, live music, an adult Grape Stomp and more, will return on Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Cross Creek Ranch located just minutes west of the Grand Parkway off FM 1093. The highlight of the festival is the collection of scarecrows created by local teams, each of which are judged for creativity and originality by those in attendance with the winning team earning a $1,000 cash prize.  Second and third-place finishers will receive $500 and $250 respectively. Kids also will enjoy face painting, a costume parade and pumpkin decorating.   Parents can get in on the fun with the festival’s Grape Stomp competition which pits eight teams of five adults against each other in three rounds of competition.  The team with the fastest feet will earn $500. Proceeds from the sale of food and other items at the festival will benefit the Fulshear Arts Council.  Admission is free.
