Intro class on Facebook to be held at library

Would you like to keep in touch and share pictures with family and friends on Facebook? Fort Bend County Libraries will present an introductory program for people who would like to learn more about this popular social-networking website, “Introduction to Facebook,” on Wednesday, October 30, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab at George Memorial Library, 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

The Adult Services staff of the library will show how to set up a Facebook account, search for friends, make “friend requests,” and write wall posts. Those attending this class should have a basic working knowledge of computers, must have a personal email account before attending the class, and should be at least 18 years old.

The class is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “George Memorial Library,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-341-2604, or by visiting the library.
