Movie day at Mamie George Branch Library features animated children’s film

The Mamie George Branch Library’s “Movie Day @ the Library” will take place on Saturday, October 19, beginning at 10:30 am, in the library located at 320 Dulles Avenue in Stafford.

This Academy Award-winning children’s movie from 1995 was the first feature-length computer-animated film ever made. The movie features the voices of Tom Hanks as “Woody” and Tim Allen as “Buzz Lightyear.”  Woody, a draw-string cowboy doll, is jealous of the new-toy-in-town, a spaceman action figure named Buzz Lightyear. When they find themselves in the outside world, Woody and Buzz must ban together to survive and find their way home again. This film is rated G.

The “Movie Day @ the Library” is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2880 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
