Research says millions would volunteer if asked… So Suburban Sugar Land Women are asking! Will you willingly, cheerfully, and generously donate your human and/or financial resources and services once a week, month, quarter, or year to encourage, educate, equip, engage and empower those in need in our Fort Bend community?
SSLW is proud to partner with A Concerned Citizens Group, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated – Suburban Houston Fort Bend Alumnae Chapter, and the Thoreau Unitarian Universalist Congregation on the following projects:
Now thru Oct. 31: Pet Food Drive Supporting Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels
November 1 – 25: FREE “ SSLW cares” – Write a one – page, hand – written letter. Share one, two, or three of your most needed goods and or services. Please state specifics such as – food, clothing, supplies, furniture, etc. U. S. Mail your request to the address below. Please provide your name, address, telephone, and email. You will be contacted within five days of your request.
December 1- 31: Feed the Hungry
January thru December Programs
*Seniors’ Enrichment Activities* SSLW Cares – families outreach services & resources* school clothing / supplies* positive males initiative* three community gardens* fund development* board development* mentoring/tutoring* adopt – a – school* continuing scholarships* advocacy* youth financial literacy * adopt – a – spot quarterly clean up* military families support * how to conduct pleasant and productive meetings * partnerships building* emergency support* voters registration/ education * special requests.
Your donations are greatly appreciated and are tax – deductible in accordance with IRS’ guidelines. Written receipts are provided within 30 days.
