Tip of the Spear’s BBQ fundraiser is Thursday, October 17

Thursday is the day for Tip Of the Spear’s BBQ fundraiser sponsored by Sugar Land Ice Rink and Texas Roadhouse.  Thanks to their donors, they have sold more pre-sale tickets this year than any other year!  Thanks to all for getting  businesses, schools, clubs and churches to participate this year!

If you have not bought a BBQ ticket or made a donation yet, you can purchase a ticket at the event on Thursday.  There will be some tables for your dining pleasure.  All meals are in containers making it easy for transporting to your home or office.

Last week, one of our Army Ranger Units suffered a Mass-Casualty event:

A Mass Casualty event is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. When a military unit sustains so many injuries that it can no longer support itself, it becomes what is known as a Mass-Cas event.

The following link is a picture and story of one of the Army Ranger survivors.  It is a touching testament to the character of our warriors.  Please feel free to share this article with others so they can be inspired, as well. http://guardianofvalor.com/salute-seen-around-world-wounded-ranger-salutes-commander-despite-injuries/

Thank you again for the support you’ve shown our deployed military still engaged in battle.  We thank them and their families for the sacrifices they make for us everyday!

Until they all come home.
