Austin Bulldogs Marching Band and Angels Dance Team take 2nd at competition

The Austin Bulldog Marching Band and Angels Dance Team

Despite the thunder at the end of their preliminary performance, the Austin Bulldog Marching Band and Angels Dance Team finished in second place at the fourth annual Friendswood Marching Festival on September 28. Stephen F. Austin took home the awards for best auxiliary and best general effect in both the preliminary and finals competition.

The performance of “Scheherazade” by the Stephen F. Austin Bulldog Marching Band and Angels Dance teams is clearly one that will be remembered. Naomi Williams, the colonel of the Austin Angels Dance Team, said, “I speak on behalf of the dance team when I say nothing compares to the feeling we get at the end of dancing through the band show. We do this solely in the hopes of touching other people’s lives with our movement, and as always, to be remembered.”

If you would like to come see their amazing show as well as the other shows of the bands of FBISD high schools, you can attend FBISD Band Night at Mercer Stadium, October 8, at 6:00 pm.
