Dia de los Muertos celebration at Missouri City Branch Library Nov. 2

In recognition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Fort Bend County Libraries’ Missouri City Branch Library will have a special craft activity for families on Saturday, November 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway. Light refreshments will be available.

The library will also have a display of items representing deceased Latino authors from Mexico and other parts of Central and South America, such as Diego Rivera, José Orozco, David A. Siqueiros, and Frida Kahlo.

Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday honoring family and friends who have died. It is celebrated every year at the same time as Halloween and the Christian holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2100.
