Dreamz dashed when suspect gets arrested
By LeaAnne Klentzman
On October 16, 2013, Sheriff’s deputies were called to the High Dreamz smoke shop in the 9900 block of Highway 6 to investigate an armed robbery.
Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said, “A black male entered the store with a gun and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspect took money from the cash register, cigarettes, cigars, and a box of glass pipes.” That man then met with a coconspirator in the parking and they fled the scene, explained Haenel.
A short time later a deputy spotted the suspects’ vehicle in Rosenberg, identified the license plate, and obtained a warrant issued by Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Ken Cannata.
The suspect, Robert Dozier, 41, of Richmond, was arrested by Rosenberg Police officers on Friday. At press time Dozier remains in the Fort Bend County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
Haenel said detectives are still looking for the other suspect. He was described as a black male with a medium build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a gray hoodie and baggy shorts.
The case remains under investigation.
Anyone who may have knowledge of the second suspect may call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
