Southminster School to hold special ceremony for our veterans

Join Southminster School on Thursday, November 7, from 9:30-10:00, for a special ceremony and prayer around the flagpole as the students remember our Veterans.

Please email Christy Balenene (cbalenene@southminsterschool.org) by October 25 with the names of family members who have served or are currently serving our country and indicate his/her branch of service.

They will be honored on Southminster’s Family Honor Roll and their names will be read during the ceremony. Unfortunately, we will not be able to add names to the honor roll after October 25 so please send them in before the deadline.

The ceremony is open to anyone who wishes to join us in prayer for our men and women in the Armed Forces.  Veterans who plan to attend are asked to RSVP.  They want to properly prepare for their special guests.

The school children would like to recognize the Veterans who attend the ceremony with a special ribbon. Members of the Stafford ROTC Color Guard and Elkins ROTC Drill Team will be participating in the ceremony. Colonel Tom Ehlinger from Stafford High School will be the guest speaker.
