Fort Bend Archeological meets November 19

Ruth Matthews, Texas Parks and Wildlife Region 4 Cultural Resources coordinator will review archeological activities at various state parks in southeast Texas at the Tuesday, November 19, meeting of the Fort Bend Archeological Society.

As TPWD regional archeologist, 15 state parks fall under Matthew’s responsibility including three units at Lake Somerville, Stephen F. Austin SP, Washington on the Brazos SHP, Huntsville SP, Lake Livingston SP, Davis Hill State Natural Area, Fort Boggy SP, Mission Tejas SHS, Martin Dies, Jr., SP, Village Creek SP, Sea Rim SP, Sheldon Lake Environmental Learning Center/SP, San Jacinto Battleground SHS, Galveston Island SP and Brazos Bend SP.

The Fort Bend Archeological Society meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 7pm in the assembly hall of the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond. The public is invited to attend this free event.
