10th Annual Run to Cure Huntington’s Disease set for November 16

These runners are ready to run for the cure of Huntington’s disease.

The 10th Annual Run to Cure Huntington’s Disease presented by HCSS and Team Hope Walk for HD is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 16th at Constellation Field, home of the fabulous Sugar Land Skeeters. The 5K Run will start at 8:30am, followed by a 5K walk-a-thon at 9:00am and a Kids K event at 9:30am. Registration is open at http://www.RuntoCureHD.com and will also be available on race day.

The Houston/Sugar Land Huntington’s Disease Run/Walk is set to be the largest of 35 HDSA run/walk events occurring across the country, in both participants and money raised. With the help of community sponsors, families and individuals, the run/walk has already surpassed last year’s record setting fund raising totals of $65,000 with this year’s current total already at more than $80,000.

One of the Houston Area’s most competitive 5K runs, the race will be electronic chip timed so all competitive runners will have the advantage of knowing their exact finishing time. Awards will also be presented to the top fundraising Run and Walk Teams.
