Goat rope’n!

By LeaAnne Klentzman

For those of you who hail from other parts…pay attention, it’s time for some learn’n.

Goat Rope’n: a messy or disorganized situation. So now that you have the definition; here’s an example!

A couple of weeks ago a Goat Rope’n unfolded up in north Fort Bend County, you know up there near Katy. It was burglars, burglars everywhere; they were run’n like scattered cats and fall’n out like fainting goats! Seems folks were calling in to 911 reporting men in their homes, men running from homes, and strange cars trolling their streets. Well, with 911 calls like that…in galloped the Posse!

Yep, right there on Angel Gate they roped’m one and scattered two. Forced’m to run through the neighborhood jumping fences and hurdling yard art. But not to worry, with that portable corral set, one of the wild ones was forced through the chute and snagged, bagged and tagged!

It appears that the Goat Rope’n kinda turned into a Team Rope’n when Sheriff’s deputies and Constable’s deputies worked together to herd the strays back to justice. While all the suspects had Houston addresses, one is really a Columbian who is wanted by ICE amongst his many charges at Fort Bend County and the other, a Puerto Rican, who was charged with Fictitious or Counterfeit Registration, he upped his $500 bond and hit the trail.

Whatever kind of Rope’n it is…. there is sure to be more in the future, that third burglar, well he is still at large and ICE would really like to chat with him too, as well as a few of the Sheriff’s posse.
