Houston Texans All-Pro left tackle Duane Brown kicks off National PJ Party with Santa Campaign

Houston Texans All-Pro Duane Brown will give back to the community in a big way by being the first to donate to Toys for Tots during PJ Party with Santa campaign. The campaign will run every Tuesday through December 17.

Texan Duane Brown’s schedule at First Colony mall Along with a uniformed Marine, Duane will shop at Toys“R”Us Express before delivering the toys to Santa, kicking off the campaign and encouraging others to support Toys for Tots. The Tuesday, November 19, schedule for Duane will be from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m., Toys “R” Us Express, where he goes on a shopping spree. From 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Duane’s toy delivery and meet and greet session at Santa Set located in the JCPenney Court.

All toys donated during the holiday season will remain in the community where they are collected and will be distributed to local children in need.

In 2012, Toys for Tots delivered more than 100,000 toys to nearly 31,000 Houston children. With a 6.1 percent unemployment rate in the greater Houston area this year, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation anticipates an increase in requests for toys from struggling families.

Without the help of Toys for Tots, many of this region’s children risk facing Christmas morning without a toy under the tree.
