The Ladybugs brighten up the day for disadvantage citizens
The Ladybugs have been busy fluttering to various facilities for the mentally challenged and the elderly in Fort Bend County to help brighten the day of the patrons during the Thanksgiving Holiday season. The group recently visited the Caring People Day Care Facility in Rosenberg for adults who are mentally challenged. They also visited the Park Manor Retirement Facility in Missouri City.
The Ladybugs brought various treats to share such as chocolates, magazines, cookies, mardi gras beads, toiletries, fun games and nice prizes that they purchased themselves, including donated items. Needless to say, the visits proved to be very rewarding for the patrons as well as for the Ladybugs. The Ladybugs like to visit local area Fort Bend facilities especially during various holidays, which gives the patrons something to look forward to that is unique and different.
They often sing songs, recite poetry or play instruments, and anything else that they can think of that would help to bring a smile to the faces of the patrons that they visit.
The Ladybugs welcome donations and anyone interested in becoming a ladybug is welcome to contact the founder/coordinator, Vicki Latham, firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to become a member of this unique and fun group which does so much for the Fort Bend Community.
