By LeaAnne Klentzman

A brazen thief strikes Human Garden restaurant in daylight. Thursday morning as Hunan Garden restaurant employees arrived for work they discovered they had no electrical power. Further investigation revealed that someone had stolen the copper wiring as well as other metal components from the commercial site in the alleyway. The cost to repair the 30 year business was nearly $9,000.

Once power was restored surveillance cameras revealed the suspect as he switched off the breakers then very forcefully cut through the exterior wiring, tore the electrical box, metal flashing and drain spout off the building in order to take the massive amount of copper and metal.

A business representative said the electrician who repaired the damage told them that the thief had a good understanding of electricity in order to have pulled off the theft without injury.

The suspect was described as a white male 25-35 years old, at the time he was dressed in a caution orange vest and a black hardhat with a silver or white emblem located in the center on the front.

Anyone with information on this theft or any other is asked to call Rosenberg police or Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
