Register now for Christmas lighting and decorating contest

Keep Rosenberg Beautiful and the Rosenberg Image Committee are excited to announce a Christmas lighting and decorating contest for Rosenberg properties. The contest will revive a tradition, and assist a local nonprofit this holiday season, all the while calling attention to the great decorations and festive properties in Rosenberg.

The lighting and decorating contest is intended to recognize the “best of the best,” and contest categories include: best home, best neighborhood, best business, best non-profit, and most extravagant (the “Clark Griswold” award). There is no cost to enter the contest, and interested participants may register until 4 p.m. Friday, December 13. Full contest guidelines [PDF] are available on the City’s website.

Members of the Rosenberg Image Committee will judge properties the weekend of December 14 and 15, and winners will be contacted the following week. Winners will have special beautification yard signs placed on their properties, and will be formally recognized at the January 7, 2014 Rosenberg City Council Meeting. Perhaps best of all, contest sponsors will make a contribution to the Fort Bend County Women’s Center on each winner’s behalf.

Interested participants may register by providing a contact name, the name and physical address of the contest entry, a contact phone number and/or email address, and the category or categories in which they wish to be judged, to, or by calling (832) 595-3301.

For more information, visit, or contact Citizen Relations at the number above.
