QV Proud Hotline 12/04/13

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT:  The Quail Valley Garden Club donated the flowers, trees, and rocks that have recently been planted in front of the City Centre.  AND more projects are to come in the future !!!

WHAT’S HAPPENING?  There was standing water on the El Dorado #16 Cart Path and it had a VERY unpleasant odor.  This was caused by a stopped up drain and it needed to be cleaned out.  The CITY Public Works Department has the equipment to do this.  The Golf Course does not.  Therefore they were on the “waiting list” for this issue to be resolved.

AN ABANDONED BABY DUCK? Recently I received a call about a baby duck found alone near a street, far from the golf course lake.  FYI:  I contacted Missouri City Animal Control and they picked up the little duckling and moved it to a large popular “hang out for ducks” on the El Dorado golf course.

LOOKING FOR A WEEKLY FARMER’S MARKET?  Every Saturday in Sugar Land from 9 am to 1 pm (rain or shine) go to Highway 90 @ Brooks Street in Sugar Land.  they have “ample” parking.

HELP PROUD SPONSOR QUAIL VALLEY PROJECTS:  Mail your (tax deductible) donation of $25 or more to:  Frost Bank, Lock Box Department, Quail Valley PROUD, P. O. Box 367, Department 06, Houston, Texas, 77001.
