Sugar Land man fails to pass sniff test

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Late Monday night Travis Allen Dahringer, 22, of Sugar Land, was stopped by Richmond Police Sergeant Danny Roach for speeding in the 1000 block of Jackson Street (US 90A).

When Sergeant Roach made contact with Dahringer he recognized the odor emitting from the vehicle. That odor led to a search of Dahringer’s car which resulted in his arrest and numerous criminal charges.

By the time the traffic stop was completed, that speeding violation had become an arrest for possession of marijuana and 7 other felonies.

According to Richmond police spokesman Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast, Dahringer was charged with, “Seven (7) counts of Manufacturing and Delivery of Narcotics. The charges included five (5) First Degree Felonies and Two (2) Third Degree Felonies. He was also charged with Possession of Marijuana, a State Jail Felony.”

At press time Daringer remained in the Fort Bend County Jail.
