Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels holds annual Thanksgiving feast
On Wednesday, November 13, over 200 Seniors from counties Fort Bend and Waller gathered at the Bud O’Shieles Community Center in Rosenberg, to share in a Thanksgiving feast provided by Shultz’ BBQ Restaurant. All the fixings were in place…..our seniors enjoyed, turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans and some mouth watering cranberry sauce!
County Commissioner Richard Morrison – Precinct 1, County Commissioner James Patterson – Precinct 4, Missouri City Councilman Don Smith, District Clerk, Annie Elliott and Mayor of Kendleton , Etta Patterson were among the many volunteers who came to celebrate Thanksgiving and serve the delicious turkey dinner to our Seniors.
The annual Thanksgiving Feast is just another way Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels finds to celebrate our cherished generation. The Seniors broke bread, played bingo and had live accordion entertainment from our very own Fort Bend County Sheriff Wright. Kevin Patton of Kevin Patton’s State Farm Insurance in Richmond did a was a real crowd pleaser when calling the bingo and emceeing the entire event. Our Seniors left with full bellies and full hearts!
