Bank supports FBISD’s efforts in college and career readiness
To support Fort Bend ISD’s efforts in preparing students for successful entry into their postsecondary stage of learning, Wells Fargo-Southwest Houston Division generously donated 5,000 college planning resource guides to the District. The resource guides contain information on choosing a college, applying for scholarships and student loans, comparing award letters, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and more.
“Wells Fargo is proud to partner with Fort Bend ISD in supporting students in college readiness,” said Gerald Cavanagh, Wells Fargo At Work Program Manager, Southwest Houston Division. “Grooming our students for financial success prior to leaving home is key to strengthening our communities and Wells Fargo is eager to do its part in supporting our future leaders.”
Dr. Terry Sheneman, FBISD Career and Readiness Coordinator, accepted the resource guides from Cavanagh on behalf of the District. The guides will be distributed to students at each of the District’s 11 high schools.
