National Junior Honor Society Food Drive benefitted the Fort Bend Women’s Center

James Bowie Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society held its annual dry/canned food drive during the week of November 18-22. Students and staff participated in the much needed collection of food to fill the pantry at the Fort Bend Women’s Center in Richmond. Overall, the students and staff donated more than $2,000 in canned goods and dry food for the shelter. Patti Holt, director for the center, arranged for a drop-off of the goods right before Thanksgiving. Members of the National Junior Honor Society were on hand to deliver the food. James Bowie Middle School opened its doors to students on August 27, 2012. Chris Morgan, Principal, oversees the organization.
