Learn basic puppy care at Mamie George Branch Library

Has your family been thinking about adopting a puppy? Get tips on selecting and caring for the right puppy for your family at a special program, “Puppy Basics,” at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Mamie George Branch Library on Monday, January 13, beginning at 6:30 pm. The Mamie George Branch Library is located at 320 Dulles Avenue in Stafford.

Animal Services Manager Kathryn Ketchum, from the City of Sugar Land, will give tips on welcoming a new puppy to your family. Learn what to expect when the puppy arrives, and how to provide basic care.
Ketchum, who has a degree in Zoology, has served as Animal Services Manager for the City of Sugar Land for the past five years, and has more than 25 years of experience working with animals.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are recommended. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Mamie George/Stafford,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2880, or by visiting the library.
