Fort Bend ISD honored its many campus volunteers by hosting its annual VIPS Salute on December 5. Hosted by the District’s Volunteers and Partnerships Department, the event welcomed parents and community members who are making positive contributions to students and staff through their generous donations of time, talents and resources.

Pamela Shaw, Volunteers/Partnerships Coordinator, welcomed guests to the occasion and commended them on their ongoing support of our students and schools. She also challenged volunteers to invite other community members to seek out volunteer opportunities as well.

Superintendent of Schools Charles Dupre also commended volunteers on their efforts, saying, “It’s impossible to do our jobs without you. You present an added value to our organization as we prepare students for lifelong learning. Please know that we greatly appreciate all you do.”

Guests enjoyed a continental breakfast, holiday music performed by the Kempner High School Handbell Choir, a video presentation spotlighting VIPS in action, and door prizes.
