Free Mah-Jongg class at Missouri City Recreation & Tennis Center

On Thursday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m., Missouri City residents hoping to learn an exciting new game are invited to join City Staff for Mah-Jongg: 101, a free introductory course on the popular Chinese game.

Come learn the beloved Chinese board game in a friendly atmosphere. Mah-Jongg is a four-person game that uses a set of 144 tiles adorned with Chinese characters and symbols. The introductory course will begin at 1 p.m. by going over the rules and playing procedures of the game followed by rounds of playing Mah-Jongg.

Beginners and experienced players are welcome! The program is free, but pre-registration is encouraged by calling the front desk of the Recreation and Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr., at 281-403-8637. Coffee will be provided.
