2nd Annual “Reading Between the Wines” slated for Friday, February 7

What a wonderful concoction! Join the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County for our second annual Reading between the Wines event presented by Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land and Safari Texas. Celebrate your love of literacy with books, wine, authors, food, auctions and more on Friday, February 7, at Safari Texas.

The evening begins with guests enjoying a glass of wine while listening to featured authors speaking about their latest releases. The New York Times Best Selling authors joining us this year are, Linda Castillo, Julia Heaberlin, and Paulette Jiles. Guest authors include Nathan Barber, Kathy Duval and Betty Verdino.

From there, guests will have the opportunity to purchase books from Blue Willow Book Shop, visit with the authors and have their books autographed. Moving into the main ballroom, enjoy gourmet bites provided by several local restaurants while listening to live music. A live auction, big board and dessert dash are also included in the evening’s events. It will be a magnificent evening of good food, fine wine and entertainment for all.

Sponsorship opportunities are currently available and range from $500 to $5,000. Sponsor benefits include admission to a pre-event reception with the authors, reserved premier seating, complimentary program advertisement and more.

Individual admission is $100. If you are interested in being involved or have any questions about this event, please contact Cari Middaugh at the Literacy Council at 281-240-8181 or email
