Kempner High School Wind Ensemble invited to National Band Festival
The Kempner High School Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the “Music For All” National Concert Band Festival, which will be held March 6-8 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The festival showcases some of the country’s finest school ensembles and has been revered as one of the nation’s premier concert band festivals since its inception in 1992. Kempner is one of only 15 bands from across the U.S. selected by a distinguished panel of music educators to perform as a “Featured Ensemble” at the festival.
“We are incredibly excited and honored to be selected for such a prestigious event,” said Branden Hill, Director of Bands at Kempner High School. “We are so proud of the students and are looking forward to performing in Indianapolis in March.”
The Kempner High School Wind Ensemble includes more than 160 students and comprises brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard sections. The students participate in numerous performances and competitions throughout the school year, including Concert, Marching, and Pep Bands; Solo and Small Ensembles, Winter Guard, Percussion Ensembles, and various community service programs.
