Missouri City Branch Library announces book club selections

Whether you discovered a love of reading at age 16 or 60, and whether you enjoy a good love story or a gritty crime novel, Fort Bend County Libraries invites you to share that love of reading with other book lovers at one of Missouri City Branch Library’s book clubs. Four book clubs meet monthly at the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway, and new members are always welcome.

Love a good love story or a chilling thriller? Members of the Talk Back Book Club meet on the first Saturday of each month to discuss general fiction, beginning at 11:00 am, in the Conference Room. The group will meet on Saturday, March 1, to discuss Shadow Divers, written by Robert Kurson.

A book club for men, the “No Sweat Book Club” will meet on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 11:00 am, in the Conference Room. The book selection will be Anthem, written by Ayn Rand. This book club meets on the second Saturday of every month. Genres such as thrillers, biographies, and true-adventure stories will be discussed.

If mysteries and crime novels intrigue you, come to the Murder & Mayhem Book Club, which meets on the third Saturday of the month, beginning at 11:00 am, in the Conference Room. The book club will meet on March 15 to discuss The Blood Ballad, written by Rett MacPherson.

The Inky PanelsGraphic Novel Book Club is a book club for teens aged 14 and up who enjoy comic books and graphic novels. The group meets on the fourth Monday of every month, at 7:00 pm, in the library’s Conference Room. The book to be discussed on

March 24 is Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 3: Scott Pilgrim & the Infinite Sadness, written by Bryan Lee O’Malley.
