Missouri City to host “Camp Pennies: Change for Change”

On March 10-14, Missouri City will be hosting “Camp Pennies: Change for Change,” a series of action-packed afternoon activities designed to raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Youth Program: Pennies for Patients.

All activities are free and will start at 12:30 p.m. and end by 4:40 p.m. at the Missouri City Recreation and Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr. Each day will include a craft, snack and special presentation. Participants are encouraged to provide donations for Pennies for Patients.

Activities include:

Monday – Bike Hype

Learn about bicycle safety and compete in a series of bicycle courses

Tuesday – Buggin’ Around

Interact with critters and enjoy a presentation on their habitats

Wednesday – Edible Rainbow

Brush up on your nutrition education as we learn about how we can practice healthy eating habits

Thursday – Minute to Win It

Are you up for the challenge? Compete in a variety of contests based on the TV show “Minute to Win It”

Friday – Balls of Color

Be amazed as we experiment with colored powder and challenge participants to water balloon fun. Children are encouraged to wear old clothing.

Interested participants can RSVP at the Recreation and Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637.
