Congratulations to St. Laurence Catholic School 8th grader Neville Tom for earning second place in the Fort Bend County Spelling Bee!  The Bee was held on Saturday, February 15 at Briscoe Junior High School in Richmond.

Neville, the winner of the St. Laurence Bee, competed against students from Fort Bend ISD, Lamar ISD, and students from local parochial and private schools.

Neville was matched against 41 other students who ranged from 2nd to 8th grade.

The first and second place spellers Neville competed against were stiff competition! Both had won 1st and 2nd place in last year’s Ft. Bend County Spelling Bee.

Congrats to Neville for an outstanding performance and for representing St. Laurence so well!
