Sugar Land Branch Library presents spring break activities for kids

Families are invited to celebrate their Spring Break with special activities at the Sugar Land Branch Library during the week of March 10-14, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 550 Eldridge. Children can relax and have fun with movies and crafts at the library, as they enjoy their break from the regular school routine.

On Monday, March 10, beginning at 6:00 pm, the library will feature an animated children’s movie from 2004 featuring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson. Bob Parr and his wife, Helen, were the world’s greatest crime-fighting superheroes in Metroville until they were forced to adopt civilian identities and retreat to the suburbs to live a “normal life” with their three children. This film is rated PG.

On Tuesday, March 11, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, the Youth Services staff will have a special “Superheroes Spectacular” for kids of all ages. Crafts and activities with a superhero theme are planned for the afternoon.

The programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2140 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
