Missouri City to host spring break tennis camp
Missouri City will host a Spring Break Tennis Camp from March 10 to March 13 at the Recreation and Tennis Center, located at 2701 Cypress Point Dr. Instructors will be providing both Developmental Camps for beginners and a Tournament Player camp.
Class times are:
9 a.m.-10 a.m., 7-10 years (Beginners – Advanced Beginners)
10 a.m.-11 a.m., 11-17 years (Beginners – Advanced Beginners)
Tournament Player Camp:
11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., High School/Middle School Players
11 a.m.– 1 p.m., MCRTC Players & JTT Players
Developmental Camps are designed for players, from beginners to advanced beginners, who are developing their tennis skills with the long-term goal of entering tournament competition, participating in Junior Team Tennis and playing for their respective middle and high school tennis teams.
Instruction for players 7 to 10 years old will participate in the USTA/NJTL 10 & under Program. Camps will be divided between a 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. class for ages 7-10 years old and a 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. class for ages 11-17 years old.
To participate, players can pay $35 for one day, $60 for two, or $100 for all four days.
MCRTC Players/Students can substitute their regularly scheduled afternoon lessons for Day Camp. The cost for JTT Players is $75 for four camp days.
