Fort Bend Friends & Neighbors Foundation scholarship applications available

Are you planning to attend a Fort Bend County campus for college next year?  Check out this scholarship.  FBFN Foundation, the charitable arm of Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors, is offering scholarships (for tuition, fees and books) to Fort Bend County students.

To be eligible students must meet the following criteria:  graduated from or will graduate from a Fort Bend County public high school; will attend a Fort Bend County campus of Houston Community College, Wharton County Junior College (including the Fort Bend Technical Center) or University of Houston – Sugar Land taking a minimum of 9 semester hours each semester; and is a U.S. citizen.

Applications will be considered on the basis of need, academics, activities,  recommendations and the student’s personal letter.  All scholarships are contingent upon the qualifications of applicants and the availability of funds.

The application is available in the Guidance Office or College and Career Center at each high school.  Applications are also available on the FBFN Foundation web site, www.fbfn.org/Foundation.html or by emailing vpscholarships@fbfn.org.

The deadline for the return of the completed application and all supporting documents is noon on Friday, March 28. The scholarship recipients will be honored at the annual meeting and luncheon on Thursday, May 16, 2014.
