HoustonDuoTwo teens were arrested during a Houston Police traffic stop linked to at least one Fort Bend robbery; more charges expected.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said Monday, “Tony Truong Nguyen, 19, and Andy Duong, 17, both of Houston were stopped for a traffic violation on Sunday and arrested by the Houston Police Department. Haenel went on to explain, “Sunday, March 2, two Asian males approached a 14-year-old girl and her mother outside a meat market in the 8600 block of Highway 6 in the Houston area of Fort Bend County.” The teenage girl was assaulted and her cell phone stolen. Many of the particulars in this case match other incidents in that same area as well as previous incidents that range across Fort Bend/Harris/Houston jurisdictions.

Fort Bend County Court-at-Law 4 Judge Sandy Bielstein issued warrants for their arrests. Bond was set at $50,000 for each. At press time Nguyen remained in the Fort Bend Co. Jail.
