Missouri City Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off event set for March 29

Over 100 volunteers participated in Missouri City Green’s Cleanup event in 2012.

Missouri City Green, together with Missouri City Parks and Recreation, encourages groups and individuals of all ages to demonstrate that they love where they live by volunteering for the 2014 Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off Event on Saturday, March 29 from 9am to 12pm, with check-in starting at 8am. The event will kick-off at the Civic Center Complex located at 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City.

Volunteers will clean up litter and debris from neighborhoods, public parks and waterways in Missouri City.

Participants should wear sneakers and gloves. Trash bags and a limited number of trash grabbers will be provided to assist in the clean up. A picnic lunch and awards ceremony will immediately follow the Cleanup.

Registration forms are available at the Missouri City Recreation and Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Drive, Missouri City or visit www.missouricitygreen.org to register in advance.
