Following the relocation in late January of the PennyWise Resale Center in Stafford, the Fort Bend County Women’s Center is excited to announce the moving of the PennyWise Resale Center in Richmond currently at 1120 Highway 90A. The grand opening of the new store is scheduled for May 7, 2014 at 501 Highway 90A – East. Until that time, the existing store will continue to operate in Richmond so its many loyal customers do not experience a business interruption.

Known for offering unusual items at a great value to customers, PennyWise Resale Centers keep the stores exciting with fresh merchandise offerings brought in daily. The relocation will upgrade the store to offer additional items, including those one-of-a-kind hidden treasures.

There has been a great deal of interest in the relocation of this PennyWise store. Fort Bend County Women’s Center Executive Director Vita Goodell shares in this excitement and says, “We are very pleased to provide the people of Fort Bend County with a larger selection of items. With the relocation of our two stores in Stafford and Richmond, we will be able to accommodate more merchandise and we’re confident that these new stores will help bring in more revenue that will help support the life saving programs of the Women’s Center.”

PennyWise Resale Centers depend on the community’s generous donations such as women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, accessories, furniture and other items necessary in assisting our clients to achieve safety and self-sufficiency. Many donated items are given directly to the women and children served by the Women’s Center and approximately $75,000 worth of items is given directly to clients each year.
