During their school’s Bullying Prevention Week activities, Austin Parkway Elementary School students welcomed Granny Dupre (played by Seeju Dupre, wife of Superintendent of Schools Charles Dupre) to their campus to hear her anti-bullying message that combined music, humor, dance and story-telling.

Granny Dupre offered students advice on responding to bullying, shared personal stories from her childhood and reminded students to seek help from a trusted adult when being bullied.

“We were honored to have Granny Dupre come and show her support of our school by re-enforcing our efforts to stop bullying,” said Principal Donna Whisonant. “She made a positive difference in the lives of our students.”
