Missouri City children’s programs for April announced
Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. These programs are free and open to the public. The April schedule is as follows:
Toddler Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Thursday, and at 10:30 am each Saturday. Program dates are April 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 24, and 26. Story Time will not take place on April 19; the library will be closed for the holiday.
Pajama Night Story Time — Mondays at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for the activities presented during the daytime. The program dates are April 7, 14, 21, and 28.
“Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe,” a bilingual Story Time for Spanish-speaking families, takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month, beginning at 7:00 pm. Families with children of all ages will hear stories in Spanish and English, and will enjoy a variety of other activities such as songs, crafts, and movies. Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe will take place on April 2 and 16.
The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades – takes place on the 2nd Thursday, beginning at 4:30 pm. The After-School Break on April 10 will be “Cherry Blossoms.” Decorate a painted cherry-blossom branch with tissue paper.
