Sienna Branch Library announce April children’s programs

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, Kinder Korner, and After-School Breaks — every month.  These programs are free and open to the public. The April schedule is as follows:

Mother Goose Time, which takes place on Tuesdays at 10:00 am, provides caregiver/infant multisensory circle-time activities — including simple sign language, folksongs and lullabies, and finger plays — that are especially designed to stimulate babies’ social, emotional, and physical development through rhythm and music. Mother Goose Time is intended for infants from age 1 month to 12 months. Program dates are April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.

Toddler Time — Thursdays at 10:00 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are April 3, 10, 17, and 24.

Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:00 am each Wednesday. Program dates are April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Pajama Night Story Time — which takes place every Monday at 6:30 pm — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time.  Program dates are April 7, 14, 21, and 28.

Kinder Korner — a time for kindergartners to enjoy stories, movies, crafts and other activities –takes place on the 2nd Wednesday, beginning at 4:00 pm. The program on April 9 will be “Y is for Yellow.”

The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in grades 1 through 5 ONLY – takes place on the 4th Thursday, beginning at 4:00 pm, in the Large Meeting Room.  The program on April 24 will be “Fun in the Sun.”
