In 2010, FBJSL initiated their Difference in a Day program (DIAD).  The DIAD program is a way for the FBJSL and its members to partner with organizations to help make a difference in the community in just a few short hours.  While the projects may be short-term, the difference is long-term.  DIAD organizes several projects throughout the year.

On Thursday, February 6, FBJSL hosted a Tea Party for Fort Bend Seniors at the Bud O’Shieles Community Center in Rosenberg.  FBJSL members socialized with the seniors and enjoyed food and tea provided by the League.  After the lunch, we were entertained by the seniors playing harmonicas and singing songs.  We enjoyed several games of Bingo and gave prizes to excited winners.

If you are interested in your organization utilizing the FBJSL Difference in a Day Program please contact Heather Carroll, Director of Community Relations at communityrelations@fbjsl.com or for additional eligibility requirements or to download an application, please visit  www.fbjsl.com.
