Suburan Sugar Land Women award scholarships

Suburan Sugar Land Women announce in recognition of 25 years of tireless service, the awarding of a 2014 competitive and academic scholarship to every qualifying  scholarship applicant. 

Twelve  applicants qualified . Congratulations, for  their exemplary excellence in community service, academics, and leadership!

The selection criteria is based on: community service,academic achievement, and leadership. Students are required to: submit typed application; typed essay; submit an official transcript ( 2.5 GPA or higher); & provide two letters of recommendation  by March 1. Recipients are notified by April 1. Recipients must: 1.  attend April 26 mandatory reception; 2. submit typed bursar’s form and university’s documentations of their acceptance and enrollment as full – time students by July 15; and 3. Volunteer at one or more  annual service projects.                                                                                                                                

All scholarship recipients checks and letters  are mailed  to  the universities the first week of August. A copy is mailed to parents/guardians and recipients.
