The Afterburner 04/02/14

When a picture says a thousand words…. The folks of Fort Bend County worked so very hard to clean up the elected law enforcement of Fort Bend County in 2012. So it is with great disappointment when we learn….It’s the Same Circus, Different Clowns!
Sadly, the Ringmaster has changed but the arrogant ideology remains the same.
And even more sadly, we thought Secondhand Evil had been banished by the election – only to learn that all the remaining little dwarves are still scurrying around the skirts of the evil Witch…
I would love to take credit for the artistic license used to create these images of the Sheriff and Chief Deputy but alas, it is way outside my skill set. However, one does have to appreciate talent when one comes across it. It has been a tough 15 months for both the sheriff’s administration and the employees. The Sheriff gives lips service to the right things but rarely knows the answer to questions when asked, since he “has someone for that.” Lest he forget, we elected HIM not a Chief Deputy …a power hungry Chief was voted out. Then within the first year… the new Chief Deputy was telling subordinates, “The Sheriff is just a politician, I run this place.” Heigh HO!
….Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it’s attitude that makes ya’ go.
Rosenberg is on the move… But the big question is, can the former police chief, now city manager, keep his hands to himself? We hear tell that former police chief, now city manager, is having a difficult time handing over HIS keys to the PD. Which begs the question, would the former police chief, now city manager, have tolerated that kind of constant meddling? Heck the former police chief, now city manager, still picks up his little buddies from inside the PD and takes them for a ride. Shouldn’t they be working? That same former police chief, now city manager, even had a hand in eliminating his predecessor and bragged about it, it was a targeted and strategic move. Next on his list is the City Attorney, hear tell, he is going to terminate her… typical, she is smart, honest, does her job well and is fair, reasons to terminate someone? Sure they are if you have something to hide.
