Hightower High School to host annual “African Experience” avent Friday, April 11 

The community is invited to attend Hightower High School’s fourth annual “African Experience” event to celebrate the diverse talents of students through visual art, music, fashion and dance. The free event will take place on Friday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m., in the school’s auditorium, 3333 Hurricane Lane, Missouri City.

Guests will enjoy displays of creative artwork completed by students of Beth Agar; musical performances directed by Timothy Dillow, Robert Jackson and Jared Garrison; a “Tour of Africa” scavenger hunt conducted by the African Cultural representatives of Clements High School’s Global Studies Academy; a tribute to South African activist Nelson Mandela, an African-inspired fashion show, comedy routines, drums, and specialized dance performances by the HHS African Dance Troupe, The Houston Step Team, and more.
